The next Future Focus event on the 20th February “People, Planet, Profit” is a ground-breaking Event for Cornish business leaders in the inimitable setting of the Eden Project.
How do our social, cultural and environmental responsibilities affect the way we do business? One thing is for sure, in 2018 consumers, clients and we will be more engaged than ever in purchasing with provenance, reducing our commercial footprint as well as how to be a force for good.
Our two ground-breaking speakers will explore how to grow and nurture a business with purpose. There’ll be a focus too on how businesses can seize this opportunity to invest more in their staff, customers, communities, and environment. It’s a fantastic chance for Cornish business leaders to understand how to make the most of being a responsible organisation in 2018 and beyond.
Our first speaker is serial entrepreneur Ed Gillespie, Co-founder of Futerra, Director of Greenpeace UK. He’s helped Unilever with their award-winning “Sustainable Living Plan” and he’s heading up pioneering businesses such as Zero Carbon Food and Loco2.com. Ed is a straight-talking, a no-nonsense communications specialist who has built up a series of businesses with purpose and now helps bigger corporates to do the same.
For those established businesses who are excited by the opportunities to do more, our second speaker and fellow business owner Simon Phillips can offer a clear process for shifting your culture and mission to reflect a social, ethical and environmental ethos. Founder of The Change Maker Group and an expert in organisational culture change and professional development.
There is no cost to attend this Future Focus Event; it is fully funded by the European Regional Development Fund but we expect tickets to sell out quickly so book now to avoid disappointment. Once you have booked, let us know if plans change and you can’t come, a fellow Cornish business leader can experience this opportunity to hear world-class speakers.
There’s going to be a whole lot to talk about so if you’re lucky enough to land a ticket, get ready, and hold tight, it’s going to be an inspiring ride.
Can I return my ticket?
As we mentioned, yes, please! If you can no longer attend, we encourage you to let us know as soon as possible. We have a waiting list of people hoping for a ticket, so we can reallocate your space if it is no longer needed.
