Immersive Tech Introductions: Build a Chatbot
Tuesday December 10 @ 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Thanks to the new wAVE project funded by the Coastal Communities Fund, an innovative set of cost-free digital skills and new world tech training is opening up for businesses of all sizes and types in Cornwall. New technologies and digital platforms are now offering a range of easy, and cost-effective, methods to communicate and market products and propositions of all kinds. And you are invited to be one of the first take part in this new immersive training, delivered right on your doorstep.
By next year, 30% of internet browsing will be done without a screen. At the same time, chatbots will power 85% of all customer service interactions and 50% of all searches will be done using voice.
Hi9 is a company that creates voice user interfaces (VUI); which enables both the public and private sectors to benefit from the expanding growth of voice searches and screenless browsing. Think Google Home and Amazon Echo – but bespoke for your business. The session will give you a broad understanding of the business potential for chatbots.During the half-day session with Wo King, you will cover:• What is a bot?
• Market explanation
• Audio search – the next big thing
• Quick design & persona
• Building a basic bot
• Sharing via a weblink
• Exploring what else you can do with your bot
You will learn how searching by voice is the next major development in technology. This practical session will provide a wealth of knowledge on the benefits of VUI for businesses. You will leave with the skills to build a simple chatbot.
The innovative wAVE Project is led by Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership, Cornwall Museums Partnership, and Falmouth University. The project has received a substantial amount of funding to upskill and train individuals and businesses across Cornwall in these new immersive technologies. These workshops are ideal for businesses and individuals with little or no experience at all of these mediums. All you need to do is to sign-up to one of the upcoming local workshops and come along with an open mind, and willingness to learn.
The session will include a free lunch – please note any dietary requirements when booking your ticket.
